Danny Blanks is a Lieutenant Colonel (RETIRED) in the U.S. Army Reserve with over 22 years of experience as an engineer officer. He has worked on military and civil works projects as a platoon leader, company commander, construction manager and project manager. In Iraq LTC Blanks served as operation officer for billions of dollars in reconstruction projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. After Iraq, he served as the operation office/S-3 for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Recovery Field Office for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, where he managed the debris clean up and demolition missions. As a contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Hurricane Protection Office, LTC Blanks managed projects totaling well over $1.5 B. He provided oversight for a construction management branch with specific emphasis on quality assurance, quality control, and operation of various construction projects.
