ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES

USACE NEW ORLEANS

DESCRIPTION

The Scope of this project is to replace electrical and mechanical equipment with energy-efficient products at both the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Centers in New Orleans and Lafayette, LA. Two 200-gallon water heaters were replaced with six tankless water heaters, capable of producing 1.2M BTUs, meeting the capacity of 20 on-demand showers running simultaneously. 24 overhead fluorescent light fixtures in the Drill Hall were replaced with auto-dim LED fixtures equipped with light harvesting control sensors. Every office, common area, storage room, and circulation route had the light switches replaced with either wall- or ceiling-mount occupancy sensors, depending on the size and nature of the space. Vending machines were equipped with occupancy sensors, as well.
